Costume Design

I designed the costumes for a musical production "Rockt die Antike" and partly made three of the main costumes. I also made a number of the props and accessories.


 

For Halloween I love to dress up as different characters. Last year I decided to dress up as a maid and created my costume from scratch. For the black dress I used a long sleeved black t-shirt as the base onto which I sewed a pair of puffy sleeves. The skirt is a simple circle skirt pattern. I already had a petticoat, but it was way too long so I had to shorten it, which was very difficult as I had never worked with tulle before! Finally I used one of my mother's inherited tablecloths and turned it into an apron.
